The Administrative Council of the Croatian Audit Chamber has seven members, the president, a member appointed by the Ministry of Finance and five members elected by the Assembly from certified auditors entered in the register, provided that they are employed by an auditing firm or an independent auditor.

Pursuant to Article 106 of the of the Audit Act (Official Gazette no. 127/17) The Croatian Audit Chamber is managed by the Administrative Council which:

  1. proposes the program and work plan and the financial plan of the Croatian Audit Chamber and monitors their execution
  2. proposes the rate of contribution and the amount of the membership fee
  3. proposes prices for the performance of tasks within the competence of the Croatian Chamber of Audit in accordance with this Law
  4. proposes an annual report on the work of the Croatian Audit Chamber
  5. proposes the annual financial reports of the Croatian Audit Chamber
  6. publishes translations of International Standards on Auditing adopted by the International Accounting Standards Board (IFAC) until they are adopted and published by the European Commission
  7. publishes the national standards adopted for the performance of services that are not covered by the International Standards on Auditing adopted by the International Accounting Standards Board (IFAC).
  8. adopts the code of professional ethics of certified auditors
  9. performs other professional tasks and services related to the development of the audit profession in accordance with this Act and the Statute of the Croatian Audit Chamber
  10. provides expert opinions and explanations to the members of the Croatian Audit Chamber at their request
  11. passes acts in accordance with this Act and the Statute of the Croatian Audit Chamber
  12. performs other tasks determined by the Statute of the Croatian Audit Chamber.

Only one member can be elected from the same audit firm. Members of the Administrative Council are appointed for a period of four years and can be re-elected only for one more mandate period.
